Home/About Us
Nitya Jewellery was born at a kitchen table not in a workshop by Shobha, a self-taught artist with a love for tradition, nature, and storytelling. What began as hand-painted motifs on small trinkets soon evolved into timeless pieces of wearable art.
Rooted in sustainability and soul, every Nitya creation is handcrafted using upcycled materials and adorned with hand-painted details. We believe in slow, meaningful making jewellery that tells a story, evokes nostalgia, and adds quiet elegance to your everyday.
At Nitya, we honour imperfections, celebrate heritage, and create pieces that feel personal and magical just like the woman who started it all.
The founder
At the heart of Nitya Jewellery is Shobha a woman whose hands craft stories and whose vision redefines what jewellery can mean. A qualified electrical engineer and German language teacher by profession, Shobha is a self-taught artist with a deep reverence for tradition, creativity, and nature.
Her journey began not in a studio but at her kitchen table painting intricate motifs on upcycled materials that would later evolve into cherished heirlooms. What started as a passion project rooted in childhood instincts soon transformed into a meaningful venture Nitya Jewellery.
Each piece Shobha designs and paints by hand is an expression of slow, intentional living blending nostalgia, sustainability, and storytelling. Nitya is not just about adornment; it’s about art with a soul. The brand stands for hand-painted details, upcycled elements, and accessible elegance.
But Shobha is more than a founder. She’s a mother, a creator, and a quiet rebel in a world of fast fashion. Her belief? That beauty lies in imperfection, jewellery should spark joy without harming the planet, and art has no expiry date.
When you wear Nitya, you’re not just wearing jewellery you’re wearing a piece of Shobha’s world. A world full of soul, simplicity, and something a little magical.
